What We Do

Because most of the air pollution in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) nonattainment region comes from mobile sources, primarily automobiles, NTCAC works with employers in the region to implement Employer Trip Reduction (ETR) programs, which encourage employees to make changes in commuting patterns. NTCAC also promotes other emissions-reducing behaviors such as buying cleaner vehicles and being more energy efficient. In addition to ETR programs, the NTCAC works with local, state, and national agencies as well as other organizations to assist employers with designing energy conservation measures for their businesses and utilizing sustainable practices to reduce their impact on the environment. All of these programs are referred to as clean air programs and are part of the Working for Clean Air™ program of work.

Let's Do Lunch

The North Texas Clean Air Coalition Let’s Do Lunch program is a monthly outreach event designed to educate employers about air quality issues including EPA standards, transit solutions, telecommuting and flex-time as well as designing energy conservation measures for their businesses and utilizing sustainable practices to reduce their impact on the environment. The NTCAC works in conjunction with the Founding Member Partners to provide information on clean air initiatives including facts and figures and what they mean for the region now and in the future.
